    This photograph was taken beside the glasshouse at Kew Gardens and used as a substitute cover when The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was released outside the UK.

    The original cover, a portrait by Vic Singh, is much better, although this session subsequently became a classic for early Pink Floyd fans as the band rarely allowed photographs to be taken.

    They generally found the process rather tedious.
