ReplyDeleteLunch is the fourth album by the British art rock band Audience, released in 1972.
It was their last original release following the departure of Keith Gemmell and the band's breaking up for more than 30 years. It peaked at 175 on the Billboard 200 chart.
ReplyDeleteLunch was released in 1972 and housed it another striking sleeve design by Hipgnosis.
"The cover comes from a similar era as House On The Hill in terms of that 30s and 40s look. It was Storm Thorgesson who really directed that one. The cover was actually an old knitting pattern and in fact it was Storm who suggestec the title of the record, based on the saying 'Ladies who lunch' I think."
- Howard Werth in the liner notes by Sid Smith, March 2015.
